De Ingenium Humanus (About the Innate Characteristics of Humans)

It is said the only people we lie to more than others is to ourselves., but to what point and purpose? Are we liars by nature or necessity? Clearly there is benefit in deceiving others, but what benefit is their in decieving ourselves?Where is the truth in this world of lies? A tyrant to be beaten, a skelton to be hidden in a closet of lies, a kid who would be king in our darkest hour and times of dire need, or gift so precious we dare not risk losing it? Together we will consider the utility of Ethical Deceit and Moral Deception. We will analyze utility by way of truth and determine why we as humans need to be truthful.
