Originally published in 1996, this book discusses the impact an immigrant community in the USA has on the type and quantity of foreign goods available. It also examines the ties and trading relationships that develop between the host and home country, asking to what extent do immigrant links to the home country affect the bilateral trade flows between the home and host countries. The economic and political economic consequences of this are discussed and questions regarding the changing source country distrinbution of immigrants addressed.
