These are, says Dr. Luccock, examples which offer a new, significant idea or fresh insight which does not appear so readily in the more familiar language of the King James Version. With each text there are a few concise paragraphs of comment - brief starting points for original thought and full-length sermons - illustrating the possible ways in which these fresh, gripping, and vivid renderings of the Old Testament in the daily speech of our time can present new insight into truth.
