The Adventures of Izzy 'The Great' Greyhound

Izzy (a.k.a. Unlimited Speed) has won more than one hundred greyhound races. Besides being a world-class racer, she was born knowing that she has a special mission: to find a lady who needs her help.



While Izzy keeps her eyes (and nose) open for signs of this woman, she has a series of mostly amusing but sometimes frightening adventures that take her far from her Kentucky home. Along the way, she races with and befriends many other dogs, including These Paws Can Draw and Flame Thrower-so named for her unfortunate habit of passing gas at the racetrack.



Due to her admirable social skills and intelligence, Izzy rises to be top dog and takes the lead in solving a dastardly dognapping. Not surprisingly, the queen of England is keen to meet her!



While Izzy's exploits are fictional, her story is based on a real greyhound adoption. Her adventures illuminate the importance of pet adoption and the soothing and healing power of all animals.
