My Nightmare Powered Down

When the electricity disappears and all of our technology fails and anything that needs any form of electricity stops working. The first thing we wonder is what caused it and how long will we be without it. When this happens supplies quickly run out and people are forced to do what they must to survive. The needs include but are not limited to food and water as well as a way to cook the food and sterilize the water for drinking. This story takes place in my hometown where being on the banks of the Ohio River can help but can also hurt you. Find out how this town of ten thousand handle this problem and what new problems arise as this situation stretches on. The healthy people have these problems and those who need medical or medicine have compounded problems that the healthy do not. What would you do? Would you survive? Who could you really depend on?
