It's nearly 60 years since reporter Michael Green left the Craven Herald newsroom on a path that led to Fleet Street. Now the man who was born at Heslaker Farm, near Skipton, in October 1927 and went on to work for both The Daily Telegraph and The Times has written his memoirs. But this is no heavy, ponderous tome. As you might expect from a former editor of the Telegraph's famed 'Peterborough' column, it is a crisp, beautifully written series of short sketches which the reader can dive into when so inclined. . . This book is a bran tub; dip into it and you will be unlucky to settle on a page that fails to engage.
