This work is a collaboration of souls, all those who have dreamed of, participated in or relished in the results of the powerful sounds of Metamusic(R). The first five chapters of this book relate more to important concepts about learning and the brain. The second half of the book focuses on the magic of music and Metamusic(R) in the learning process. You will discover that there is a transaction in learning between the student, the subject, attitudes and Metamusic(R). While the focus is on high school and college level students, much of what is shared can be applied to all ages, all cultures and in varying situations, and music crosses the barriers of language. Written collaboratively by two committed practitioners with two very different education and experience sets, you will discover a myriad of anecdotes, practical learning exercises, visuals and storytelling punctuated by neuroscience findings, learning theory and personal examples. Join us in this journey into the new frontier of the mind/brain. About the Authors: Both authors have been immersed in music throughout their lives, which served as a natural bridge to the use of music to facilitate learning. Barbara Bullard had become an expert on super learning and had embedded these concepts into her teaching for decades. As a former opera singer, Alex Bennet had spent two dozen years of her youth with music at the core of her life. Separately discovering Hemi-Sync(R) and developing their own personal passions for Metamusic(R), the authors first came together in 2007 at a Professional Division seminar of The Monroe Institute. It was love at first sight, and even then, this book began its long journey into becoming.
