What Gives You the Right to Talk of Such Things?

It really does not matter my name, or where I was born, only where I'm heading toward. Call me Flo, that's more than enough. Truly. It is part of my full name and it's how my colleagues, friends and my extended family call me. I work as a qualified Senior Carer and I am part of an amazing team within a great organization. The only reason I mention what I am blessed to do, is because of what I've learned since I started my journey as a Carer a few years ago. And that is what you will find in these upcoming pages. The beginning of my journey as a Carer felt like a fresh start, a second chance, if you will and the circumstances of how that came to be only had me on this quest to further my understanding of what I was experiencing. I knew I couldn't take it for granted. I am still learning, yet whatever findings I came across and whatever insights and realizations gained as a result of that, they weaved into this form you are holding it now. A compelling thought determined to reach out to you. It didn't seemed to matter to this thought that English is not my first language, nor it seemed to matter whatever excuses I was offering to not go through this; only to have this compelling thought grow in strength. So there it is. In this way it came together. My intention is to be of help and to offer an invitation to all that feel stuck or don't know how to start. To find out what's possible, no matter where you find yourself in this moment in life. I dare say that the findings in this book lead to a path towards feeling alive, happier and contentment whilst living a life of meaning and fulfillment. The work though, is yours to do and the credit is yours to claim. I am sharing what is helping me still, as my journey is not over yet. In fact, I feel it is always the beginning. My intention is to contribute through my perspective in making obvious things fashionable once more: trust, transparency, honesty, believing in oneself, pursuing dreams, pursuing truth, following your heart, helping one another, having faith in Life, whilst continuing to work on myself first, to embody them. Why? Because change, transformation does not happen overnight, it takes work and it takes someone to say something to spark that in another. At the least is a cause worth believing in, striving for it, living for it. Because we are so worth it, so much more than we give ourselves credit for. And I would like to be that cause to rekindle that in someone else as others have done that for me. It is also how I honor the life in me and the belief of others in my unknown potential. I searched and looked to realize I didn't had to travel far to find what I was looking for. In my mistakes, insecurities, doubts, failures, betrayals, fears I found my teachers. It is where I found also courage, strength, passion, love. I could understand better and better my desires, intentions, and decisions. There is not one thing that it takes to find what you're looking for, for every little thing is complementary to another. This is my journey. So far.
