Seek First the Kingdom

Seek First the Kingdom - The March of Hope is my second book, written in the spring of 2009 and self-published in honor of the Virgin Mary on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15, 2009. Seek First the Kingdom is about my on-going quest along the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed through Catholicism with the Virgin Mary, St. Joan of Arc, and St. Therese of Lisieux that I introduced in my first book, Journey to Christendom - The Freedom Dance. Seek First more fully develops several themes that emerged in Journey. These themes continued to tug on both my intellect and will during that spring of 2009, several months after publishing my first book. I realized that more needed to be written. My newly energized efforts led to growth in Seek First from the seeds planted in Journey and would eventually come to full bloom in my later books. These fully developed concepts are now the substance of my websites and blog as well as my evangelical initiatives. Here, in this book, you will continue your journey as we venture together through the gateway at the great castle walls of Catholicism and march forward with The Virgin Mary, St. Joan of Arc, and St. Therese of Lisieux to a beautiful panoramic view of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ that waits for you inside the mysterious land of Catholic spirituality. The March of Hope is about the mystical beauty and reality that is the Catholic Church, the Kingdom of God on earth! It is about what happened next, on the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed... As for why I have written this and the rest of my books, I will use the following quotation from Scripture to explain: "And when he went up into the ship, he that had been troubled with the devil, began to beseech him (Jesus), that he might be with him. And he (Jesus) admitted him not, but saith to him: go into thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had mercy on thee." "And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him..." (Mk 5:18-20a, Douay-Rheims, parentheses added) This is why I have developed my books, my blog, and my websites. I did not do so because I felt others needed what I am sharing. I did so simply because I needed to, and felt commanded to, "go to my friends, and tell them how great things the Lord has done for me, and has had mercy on me." StM This book holds a permission to publish statement by Very Reverend John F. Canary, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
