There is humour and sadness along the way and the author does well to portray the lives and personalities of his regular ladies. Takes you through the highs and lows of a veteran punter over a period of 30 years. You empathise with the author and fully share the sometimes hilarious but often tragic accounts. A very good read. Very interesting and a real eye opener. I found the writing style easy and down to earth. The author's honesty about himself was refreshing, and at times quite moving. It's also a brilliant documentary of how much the paid sex scene, and society generally, has changed in just the past couple of decades. There is no media spin here just the frank recount of Nik who lays bare the facts of punting and paid sex and is free from any hysteria which normally accompanies an expose on prostitution. Overall a good read that seems to have been written in a honest forthright way."
