Many of us have an idea of what we want to do when we are older. Some people have no idea of what they want to do. They may work it out as they grow up or meet people who do amazing jobs and they want to do them too.
This is the story of Victor who ended up in hospital with a broken arm, met some amazing people and decided that when he grew up he would become a nurse.
Debbie Duncan is an advanced Nurse practitioner, lecturer in nursing, church leader and Mum to four grown up children.
She is a profilic writer having had over 60 articles published in the Nursing press and is writing her third text book.
Her first novel was Life Lines published by Authentic media in 2014 . She co-authored it with Cath Le Feuvre using her full name: Deborah Duncan
She has since published "The art of daily resilience", "Brave - courage through the seasons of our lives" and "Gifted- women in leadership" with contributions from people like Margaret Sentamu and Christy Wimber all published by Lion Hudson
Her recent book is "Minor prophets, major prayer" by Authentic Media.
Debbie is also the author of "The God series" by Lion Hudson. There are Illustrated and chapter books for children aged 5-7 and 8 year. The 'God Cares' series provides a Biblical approach to discussing emotions and behaviour with children to nurture an attitude of wellness. They cover biblical stories such as Jonah and Daniel and friends. They look at current topics such as - when I feel down, when I am strong and when I am anxious. There is a helpful section to dicuss these feelings with children and resources.
