When Jessie Ware released the album What's Your Pleasure in 2020, she slowly gained status as a modern Disco icon. She had already established herself as a more traditional pop star on her debut Devotion from 2012, but experienced declining success on the two subsequent releases, until she became a frontrunner in the new disco-pop trend.
