Classic Comedy Collection / Various

This charming 3 CD collection will transport you back to the days when comedy's purpose was to tickle your funny bone without making you squirm. All the 20th century greats are here, with a rare collection of songs and sketches. The Lords and Ladies of Laughter get you giggling in the Great British tradition. Listen. And chortle, shriek, hoot, chuckle, crow, cackle, snigger, snicker, titter and whoop away. It's that uniquely British ability to laugh at oneself that makes our comedy different. The great classic comedic performances are timeless and now, years later, they still work brilliantly. It's fast, furious and funny. Characterised by quick fire dialogue, American comedy tends to be more wordy that the UK variety; 'punch line' and 'one liners' being intrinsic ingredients. It requires quick wit, sharp insights and rapid reaction.
