In 2022, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis came back to their home country of Australia for a series of 16 concerts. During these shows, they brought their well-received album Carnage from 2021 to different locations and also performed songs from the repertoire of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

The pinnacle of this journey was marked by three remarkable performances held at the Sydney Opera House on December 16th, 17th, and 18th. These shows held special emotional significance and were recorded to create a brilliant new live album titled Australian Carnage - Live At The Sydney Opera House.
